Render96 is the project that started it all. DorfDork was the first developer to start working on it when the PC Port community was in it's infancy; June 1st 2020. The idea for this project originated from when he was a young child and always dreamt of seeing the 90s render models in gameplay. What he didn't know is that a lot of people shared a similar interest and wanted to help out in anyway they can.
The premise is to have fully modeled homages of the models from long ago. Combined with the revolutionary gameplay of SM64 it makes for an awesome gaming experience. Run freely in a grass meadow or dive underwater for unexpected treasure because all of what makes SM64 fun is still present for you to enjoy!
With Render96 being a mod for the PC Port, quality of life updates available via in game options. If you want to play the game in different languages or different framerates, we have every option that you can think of!
